The Role

A new exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and committed person to work within our Governance Team.

The post holder will be directly responsible for the provision of services to a specified number of multi-academy trusts, school governing boards, and other commercial contracts, ensuring that our high standards are met in a professional and effective manner.

The post holder will deliver and advise on the role of the company secretary, provide administrative support for meetings including agenda preparation, support panel hearings including pupil exclusions and staffing appeals, conduct governor elections, and provide advice and guidance in line with the client’s legal status to meet their individual needs whilst ensuring their legal compliance.

You will have:

  • good working knowledge of schools and academy governance arrangements and statutory compliance arrangements,
  • experience of working as part of a team in a busy client-focussed service
  • outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • the ability to prioritise and manage a busy and varied workload

You must also understand the importance of working with a good eye for detail, have an organised methodical approach and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

This role is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
