EYFS Teaching Assistant 1-2-1

Grade: 1/2 point 3-5

Salary: £21,408 – £21,795 p.a. (full-time). Actual salary pro-rata £15,293 - £15,570 p.a.

Hours: 30 hours per week – term time only (39 weeks to include INSET days) – 8.45am – 3.15pm with 30 minutes’ lunch break

Contract: Fixed Term to 31st August 2021

We are looking to appoint a EYFS Teaching Assistant who has experience working with children with a range of special educational needs. The role is predominantly working as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant but some group work will be required.

The role involves supporting children with complex physical, sensory or learning and development needs. Experience delivering speech therapy plans will be an advantage, as will be any experience using visual timetables, PECs, Makaton, positive handling training and knowledge implementing behaviour management strategies. 

Whilst you will be expected to work under the direction of the class teacher and EYSF Lead you will also have the ability to use your own initiative to organise tasks and activities; creating simple resources to support the pupil’s work as appropriate. You will work closely with the Class Teacher, EYFS Lead and the School’s SENCO as well as working in partnership with external contacts to support learning and development.
