The Governors of St Nicholas CE Primary School would like to appoint a reliable , cheerful and well-motivated person to the position of Welfare Assistant. Duties will include working as part of a team in assisting and securing the safety and welfare of pupils during the midday break. We are looking for an enthusiastic person with a flexible approach to work. The ability to support children with special educational needs would be an advantage. The successful candidate will need to be able to work both independently and as a part of a team within a happy, vibrant school environment. They will also need to support the ethos of a church school.
Due to the nature of the work the above post is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and relevant care/safeguarding legislation and appointment will only be confirmed if a satisfactory enhanced disclosure is obtained from the Criminal Records Bureau.
