About us

The London Borough of Newham is located only 5 miles east of London. It is well positioned with access to all major networks in London and the south east.  It is well connected by public transport with, bus, tube and DLR. When the Cross rail service opens it will call at Custom House close to our council offices and also Stratford station and from there to central London. You will be working for the Performance & Development Team in Parking within the Environment and Sustainable Transport directorate where we're committed to making all our streets safer and healthier so that more people choose to walk and cycle, and can enjoy healthy and active local journeys with better air quality and less cars on local streets.

About the job

We are looking to appoint 2 Analysts. The Analysts will provide high quality analysis to enable data led decisions by the Performance & Development Manager, Senior Managers, Members and the Council. This role will ensure all parking processes are effective; simple and accessible; efficient and fair, and that relevant processes are being followed and administered in a customer focussed way. The post is responsible for ensuring all management information is collected accurately and efficiently utilised to identify ways to improve the efficiency of the overall Parking Service.

This role is at scale SO2 indicative salary range £31,548 to £33,291*

*subject to change following local government acceptance of a 2.75% pay increase

About you

You will need to demonstrate sound knowledge and experience of; parking legislation; systems and processes, modelling (inc statistical) techniques and methods. You should encompass a flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to changes in fast moving environment. In addition, excellent Microsoft Office (e.g. excel), numerical, IT skills and attention to detail are paramount, together with a genuine commitment to, and experience of, utilizing analytical skills to deliver business efficiencies and improvements in a service and/or business.
