Waltham Forest Council is in a fairly unique position having secured Mini-Holland funding of £27 million from Transport for London to invest in the road network and make it an excellent place to walk and cycle. We want to create a lasting infrastructure, cycling culture and achieve our target of ten percent of all trips made by bike by 2020.

Waltham Forest is a diverse energetic Council with a proven record of delivering high-quality infrastructure in the public environment.

The Highways and Traffic Management service are looking for a highly motivated Principal Engineer to continue this success into the future, responsible for the delivery of a wide range of traffic and public realm improvements, often of significant value, from inception through to final delivery in accordance with Council procedures.
