Head of Service - Adult Community Team and Intermediate Care

We helped June into a new home.  Now she’s got a new lease of life.

We want to develop and improve the experience of the people we support to enable them to live as independently as possible and our adult community and intermediate care service has a vital role to play in that.  Through continual learning and reflection of our practice we can support our older people in their daily lives and give them the time and support they need to make an impact on their lives.  One of the ways we are doing this is by building an exciting new care home which will help people who need extra support following discharge from hospital and for people with Dementia.  This is an opportunity to take ownership.  And to change lives for the better.

Because we’re Bracknell Forest.

What it’s like working in our team…

Our teams are multidisciplinary to ensure that we can support people in the most holistic way possible. Our teams are friendly and supportive and made up of social care staff, therapists and nurses and cover assessment and review as well as intermediate care services.  We are looking for someone who can work at pace with the time to find creative solutions to support individuals. Every day is different.

You will be supported to carry out the following duties, responsibilities and training…

  • Ensure positive outcomes for individuals
  • Provide the strategic and operational leadership to our multi-disciplinary services
  • Help deliver our ambitious transformation programme
  • Working with a highly effective management team and service area to achieve excellence

The benefits you will experience are...

  • A flexible working approach utilising up to date technology
  • A comprehensive induction
  • Leadership development
  • Access to discounted leisure pass

What we are looking for …

Educated to degree level (or equivalent) and with a management qualification, you will have experience of managing a multi-disciplinary integrated team.  Your approach will be person-centred, and you will have a sound understanding of professional, legal and policy issues relevant to Adult Social Care and Health.  As a manager you will have strong leadership skills and the ability to be innovative whilst inspiring those who work for you.

Interview date…

Interviews will be held on 26/11/2020 and 27/11/2020.
