More about the role:
In Children's Services, we aim to give every child excellent care and a promising future. By supporting families and keeping children safe we're helping to make CBC a great place to live. As a family partner, you will be critical to the success of the Early Help Locality Teams. Find your greatness as you work with families at an early stage to make a difference and prevent escalation of needs and concerns.
In this important and varied role, you will adopt an assertive and persistent approach to engaging children and families with multiple and complex needs on the edge of statutory intervention. Day to day you will assess child and family needs, devise child focussed plans of support and undertake direct work/interventions with children and families. To provide effective and high quality support you will need to work with others to improve outcomes for children, keeping an eye on risk to ensure they are safe.
You will have a relevant qualification, and will be a confident and resourceful worker, experienced in direct work with children and families. You will have good knowledge around safeguarding policy and practice and strong self-organisation skills enabling you to prioritise your caseload to ensure that families receive timely support. You will be working as part of an established Locality team and will need a positive and flexible attitude towards change as the team develops.
Join us, and you'll enjoy attractive benefits plus excellent in-house training. This includes specialist courses covering specific areas of interest. Even better, you'll find your greatness by ensuring that every child is happy, safe and well.
