Working Pattern: 20 hours per week / 5 days per week (Part-time, 10.00am to 2.30pm / ½ hour lunch break)
We are seeking to recruit an experienced, hard-working, motivated and dedicated Assistant Caretaker to work across both schools. The successful applicant will work to support the school within all areas of maintenance, cleanliness, health and safety and security. You will support the Site Manager with day to day maintenance tasks to ensure a safe, clean and learning environment and have key holding responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will:
• Have the DIY skills to undertake day to day repairs and building maintenance
• Have a basic understanding of Health and Safety requirements ideally in schools
• Be able to adhere to school working procedures and policies
• Have good communication skills both verbal and written
• Be able to manage own workload and be adaptable and flexible to whatever is required of them for the effective running of the school.
Previous experience of working in a school or educational setting in a similar role is desirable. You will be part of a committed and supportive team and have a flexible and positive outlook, becoming an integral part of our school community. This post will require the successful candidate to work split shifts during term time as indicated above and be flexible during the school holiday period. (annual leave to be taken during the school holiday period)
