Salary Range: £40,894 pa progressing to £44,503pa (pro rata for part-time)
Hours: Full Time & Part Time role available
Contract: Fixed Term/Secondment Opportunity -12 Months

Job Duties:

In response to COVID-19 the Government has determined that all Directors of Public Health must develop a Local Outbreak Plan for their area.  We have our own plan for Hertfordshire, part of which is providing expert clinical infection prevention and control (IPC) advice and support.

The Public Health team is seeking to recruit a highly motivated Registered General Nurse who is currently practicing or has previously practiced in the field of infection prevention and control (IPC).

The successful candidate will work, both autonomously and as part of a wider team, providing clinical expertise to HCC, partner organisations and the multiagency cells to minimise risk from COVID-19 infection.  This will include providing specialist advice, delivering training, performing audit, undertaking and interpreting surveillance, and ensuring effective management of outbreaks.

The role will require some out of hours/weekend working.

You will need to be self-motivated, have a flexible approach to work, have good organisational skills and computer literacy, and be able to work to deadlines.  You will be working with people at all levels across different organisations so you will be able to adapt your communication style as needed, influence others when required, and act as a role model across disciplines.

The role can be offered on a full time (37.5 hours per week) or part time (minimum 0.6 WTE) basis on a fixed term or secondment basis.

Closing Date: 30.11.2020
