Social Worker - Multi-Agency Partnership Team

We have both Social Worker and Senior Social Worker roles available.

Surrey County Council is looking for committed and innovative Social Workers who are interested to join our Multi-Agency Partnership Service within the Children’s Single Point of Access Service. This is an exciting opportunity to shape children’s social work by working closely with management while being hands on. You will have passion for achieving better outcomes for vulnerable children and their families. You will have comprehensive knowledge of the challenges associated with working with children and their families. Applicants for the role will need a professional Social Work qualification and be Social Work England registered. About the Role:

  • You will already have highly developed specialist knowledge of Social Work practice.
  • You will demonstrate good verbal and written communication when working with parents, children and partner agencies
  • You will show high skill in managing the process of Multi Agency Partnership Enquiries of good quality and on time
  • Your social work expertise and knowledge will help you to take the lead on the children’s circumstances whilst ensuring a timely response to their needs when concerns are reported to the C-SPA.
  • You will have a key role in researching and sharing up to date social work practice alongside creating a clear vision for the future and ensuring the best outcomes for children and their families are realised.
  • You will have strong written and verbal communication skills.

Requirements for the Role:

  • You must hold a Professional Social Work Qualification (e.g. CQSW, Dip (SW), MSW) and be registered as a Social Worker with Social Work England.
  • You will have frontline experience in a safeguarding team.
  • You will be focussed on helping children and families to change their lives for the better in a timely and responsive manner.
  • You will have recent experience of case work in Assessments, Child Protection, Children Looked After and Care Proceedings.
  • You will have extensive knowledge of the challenges associated with working with children and their families, and in-depth knowledge of relevant childcare legislation.
  • You will be comfortable in demonstrating professional competence in social work practice by using current knowledge and working within agreed standards of best social work practice and carrying out duties in accordance with the HCPC standards of proficiency.
