SCHOOL CARETAKER – AA:AD:5000 TEMPORARY – 37 HOURS, 45 WEEKS PER YEAR (Including part school holidays)
We are seeking to appoint a Caretaker to join our hardworking and committed team. The candidate should possess good communication and organisational skills, and have a sense of humour. This post is permanent.
The successful candidate will need a range of skills to ensure the efficient maintenance of our building and its surrounding areas. Briefly, the role will include maintaining health and safety standards, carrying out minor repairs, cleaning duties, general maintenance (to include basic plumbing, joinery and electrics), decorating, liaising with contractors, ordering supplies and opening of school premises. Working hours are 37 per week- 7:30am – 3:30pm Monday to Thursday and 7:30am – 3:00pm on Friday. This is a key-holder position and therefore there is a requirement to attend any alarm call out or emergency out of hours. Previous experience in a school setting would be an advantage, although not compulsory.
