The key purpose of the Business Design and Change Consultant role is to identify key strategic and change priorities with a focus on the 'human' element of change and design to improve Organisational performance; so it is more agile, collaborative and community focussed. Working with internal and external partners, this role will support delivery of strategic and operational solutions to drive transformation and embed cultural change.
This fixed term role is to cover maternity leave and is positioned within the Organisational Effectiveness and Development (OED) Performance Team. OED is part of the wider HROD function which supports the council in achieving its ambitions for the benefits of Surrey residents. You'll be able to apply and develop your skills and knowledge as part of a collaborative team that's helping to innovate and deliver our strategy.
Surrey County Council has a large transformation programme to deliver in order to reach it's strategic goals. As Business Design and Change Consultant, you will be pivotal in supporting delivery of this vision and provide expertise in the 'human' aspects of design and change.
You will have a proven track record of working in a transformation business change role, with particular experience of large scale/organisation-wide programmes that have delivered high impact and cultural change. You will act as a subject matter expert, providing expertise and advice where required and demonstrate an ability to see the bigger picture and engage stakeholders to influence approach and decision making.

This is full time position to cover maternity leave for a fixed term period of 12 months. The administrative base for this post will be Woodhatch in Reigate, however we work in an agile way and would therefore encourage flexibility in working from any of SCC available workspaces or from home to meet the expected outcomes of the role.
