Temporary Commissioning and Partnerships Advisor  (RBPS037)
(30 Hours per week)
Maternity cover of up to one year
Salary £29,577 - £32,910 pa pro rata

The Council is seeking a motivated, self starter to support the Policy, Performance and Partnerships Manager in ensuring the effective running of the Mid Sussex Partnership (MSP). The MSP includes partners from local government, police, health, education and the voluntary sector.  They will provide a lead on organising meetings of the Partnership Board and the commissioning and contract monitoring of MSP projects. This will include the development, delivery and management of the MSP’s annual programme of projects, writing specifications, overseeing tender processes, contract evaluation and monitoring, to ensure value for money and good performance whilst working with service providers to address any underperformance.  The post will also be involved with the Council’s programme of grants and partnership agreements.

Applicants should have experience of working in a political environment and have a working knowledge of changing policies and best practice relating to partnership working within local government. Candidates should have strong communication skills including ability to produce reports, presentations, verbal and written briefings and policy documents.
