Reablement Occupational Therapist

As part of the Transformation Project an exciting opportunity has arisen to create a Therapy Led Reablement Service in Surrey, supporting the Health & Social Care Integration agenda.

We are looking for Reablement Occupational Therapists to work in our Guildford and Waverley Team to embed a therapy led, strength based holistic approach to short term care delivery.

The post holder will have an understanding and knowledge of short term, intermediate care and goal focused intervention. They will demonstrate the ability to complete holistic assessments and write client led skills gain programmes. They will work collaboratively with colleagues in Reablement and our partners in home based care to deliver personalised, strength based interventions.

The post holder will have the opportunity to build on or develop new supervisory, coaching and teaching skills with support from the Reablement Therapy Leads. They will take on an advisory role with non-qualified staff, Newly Qualified Occupational Therapists, students and Reablement colleagues.

They will be creative and keen to develop new skills surrounding technology enabled care as part of Surrey's wider digital transformation project.

As the service runs 7 days a week, participation in some form of on-call rota may be required as we continue to develop the roles.

A successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the new role with the Reablement Leadership Team and work in an innovative way.
