King’s Academy Binfield (KAB) is now looking to appoint a highly motivated, dynamic and innovative teacher of Design Technology to play an intrinsic role in our all-through academy in Bracknell Forest. Particular subject specialisms within Product Design; Resistant Materials and/or Engineering would be desirable. The department is a well-resourced and purpose built facility consisting of a suite of workshops and graphic design facilities.
The school opened in a superb new building in September 2018 with 120 fabulous Year 7; we have since welcomed two new cohorts in September 2019 with 150 students and September 2020 with 180 students respectively. We have been full and significantly over-subscribed every year. When full, the school will have 1800 students, aged 3-18 on roll. The primary phase at KAB and King’s Academy Oakwood (KAO) both opened in September 2019.
Whilst a main scale role initially, there will be increasing opportunities for leadership roles within the academy as the school expands. Potential is as important as experience. Applications welcomed from NQTs.
Applicants should be excellent classroom teachers and have the ability to motivate, inspire and lead students to excel. The successful candidate will be a team player and will get stuck in and involve themselves in the wider aspects of academy life. A genuine commitment to our ‘whatever it takes’ ethos is essential to enable every young person at KAB and KAO to thrive.
