Facilities Manager

Astrum Multi Academy Trust was initially established in 2017 as a single special school academy trust with Newbridge School based over two sites – Lower School – Barley Lane and Upper School – Gresham Drive and is now looking forward to the opening of a new free school – Hatchside School in Aldborough Road North in April 2021.

Newbridge School caters for pupils who have a range of severe and complex learning difficulties, with additional needs including autistic spectrum disorders, physical disabilities, sensory impairments, medical needs and challenging behaviour. Pupils attending the Gresham Drive Campus are between 2 and 11 years of age and those attending the Barley Lane Campus are between 12 and 19.

We are pleased to be offering this opportunity to join our hard-working central team at this exciting time, to lead the schools site teams in order to develop and maintain clean, fully operational, safe and secure environments to support effective teaching and learning within the Schools.

We are looking for a hardworking, conscientious and enthusiastic professional with Facilities Management experience.  You will be responsible for ensuring the schools meet with all necessary health and safety legislation, including contract management and maintenance together with ensuring high standards of cleaning and maintenance.

The trust is led by a strong, successful Leadership Team who you will work closely with to develop your role.

We are looking for someone who;

  • has a further qualification or training in facilities management
  • has experience in a management role in relation to facilities/premises
  • has line management experience and of leading and motivating other staff
  • is looking to join our successful school team
  • can work flexibly
