Job introduction

To assist the Blue Badge & Concessionary Travel Manager with the leadership and management of the Blue Badge & Concessionary Travel Team, dealing with all operational issues and day to day running of the service.

About the role

The Blue Badge and Concessionary Travel team work within Parking Services and assess eligibility and issue Blue Badges and Concessionary bus passes for disabled and elderly citizens within the city. The team are passionate and knowledgeable about their work, high performing and one of the most complimented teams in the council. 

This vacancy is for 2 x Team Leaders to join the existing team leader in operationally managing the team with support from the Blue Badge and Concessionary Travel Manager. You will need to be an experienced, professional and people centered manager with the ability to motivate the team to get the best results. You will lead and manage team members performance and development and organise workflows to ensure deadlines are  met. Additional duties will include writing complaints responses, responding to Freedom of information requests and collation of data for management purposes. 

You will need to be able to work independently but also play a leading part in the team's work and help them to manage pressure. 

Candidates will need to undertake a BPSS check if successful for this role.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
