Position advertised: Temporary Grade 6 Teaching Assistant

Closing Date: Thursday 10th December 2020.

The Governors of Dee Point Primary School wish to appoint a temporary maternity cover full time teaching assistant to join our hard working and passionate team. We are looking for someone to cover in our Complex Moderate Learning Difficulties resource provision.  An understanding and experience of working with pupils with SEN is essential but you do not have to have had experience of working in a resource provision.

We are seeking someone who has a passion to work in our school and support the highly motivated, exciting and inspiring children we have.  The community of Dee Point will offer you: support, inspiration, passion, creativity, and the chance to make a real difference to children’s lifelong learning.  The expectation and pace of life at Dee Point is high therefore the very highest skilled practitioners need only apply.

To understand the role clearly we would strongly urge all prospective candidates to request the information video about the school (this can be obtained by emailing admin@deepointprimary.cheshire.sch.uk). We are also holding two live virtual tours of school with a Q&A session on 30th November at 10am and on 3rd December at 4pm. Please contact the school office to book a slot on one of the virtual tours and to receive the information video.

Our school community places the highest priority on keeping our children safe.  Applicants for all posts will be subject to stringent vetting and induction processes. The holder of this post will be required to work with children under the age of 18 in a position of trust, and is, therefore, exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. The successful candidate will be subject to the relevant checks and enhanced DBS.
