Would you like to be part of an ambitious organisation truly looking to make a difference to the sector?
The South East Consortium (SEC) is a not for profit organisation representing social housing providers in London and the South East. We exist to support the sector with procurement and sharing insight.
We truly want to do more to support the sector. We have seen more customers than ever requesting a growing level of support around public procurement.
Your role will be about supporting colleagues in our Operations team – in this team we focus on technical documents, procuring contracts and creating frameworks.
You’ll be involved in a variety of things by supporting our Operations team. You’ll be involved in assisting all of your colleagues with administrative tasks at all stages of procurement, including assisting in quality evaluations of tenderers. You’ll be involved in tracking and obtaining a range of important documents. You’ll also be involved in collating customer feedback on tenders and preparing reports.
You’ll be well organised and enjoy working with a wide variety of stakeholders. You’ll be able to write short reports and log customer interactions on our systems. You’ll have experience or be enthused by customer facing contact including phone calls and emails. You’ll also need to be confident in sharing customer feedback with colleagues so that we can continuously improve our business.
The workload will be diverse so you’ll need to be able to work on your own initiative and be truly committed to any challenge that comes your way. You’ll have the ability to put the customer first – every time.
Previous office administration experience is desirable not essential. And, if you’ve worked for a contractor or housing provider with a little understanding of our sector that would be welcomed. This role will mainly be based in our office in Sittingbourne in Kent.
What’s in it for you?
You’ll enjoy a great salary and benefits package, including 27 days (rising to 30 days) plus bank holidays, and a day off for your birthday. You can also buy and sell leave up to 5 days. We have generous pension and life assurance schemes too, plus a cycle to work scheme and travel loans. Add in a healthcare cash plan covering dental, glasses, physiotherapy, vaccinations, 24 hour GP and more, plus various high street discounts, (not to mention flexible working and in house career development opportunities). If you are passionate about what you do and share our ambitions, we look forward to hearing from you.
