Grade 4 £24,258-£26,520pa (pro rata salary  £21,057pa)  Part Time /Term Time Kitchen Supervisor at Crowlands School. 

HES Catering Services are the Local Authority provider of school meals for the London Borough Of Havering, working in partnership with local schools and academies to provide award winning meals and services.

We are extremely proud in supplying a wide range of high quality catering services to the majority of schools within the borough. We also have partnerships with other schools outside of Havering and offer bespoke solutions and assistance to individual schools and businesses which have their own In-House catering teams

HES Catering on-going success is very straightforward – We have amazing Colleagues throughout all of our sites bursting with experience who carefully prepare ‘Healthy, Fresh, Vibrant & Tasty’ meals with the highest quality produce for our wonderful Clients. We serve over 15,000 meals per day in our schools..

About the Job

Responsible for the day to day operation of the catering service within a designated secondary school with cash cafeteria style service.

1.    The postholder reports to: Area Catering Manager.

2. The postholder has line management responsibility for: All on–site catering staff.

3. The postholder will be required to work: As defined on Staffing Profile

• Ability to undertake food preparation following a menu pattern and recipe file.
• Ability to operate basic industrial kitchen equipment.
• To be numerate.
• Ability to handle difficult situations in a calm, diplomatic and competent manner.
• To be a good communicator.
• Ability to organise a team.
28.5 hours per week plus 2.5 hours flexi

About You

Ability to undertake food preparation following a menu pattern and recipe file. you will also be required to operate basic industrial kitchen equipment.   you will be required to hold a current food Hygiene certificate.
