Our response to the Covid–19 outbreak provides the opportunity to reimagine the borough for the digital age, accelerate growth in key digital services and skills, and work with front-line teams to use technology to transform resident services. and you will be central to turning great ideas into new capabilities that make a positive impact for Waltham Forest’s residents and businesses.
You will report directly to the Director of Digital & ICT playing a vital part in shaping the future strategy of Waltham Forest’s digital agenda and spearheading technology to facilitate better public service. The team is some way through their transformation plan, having moved most technology to the cloud, and approximately 80% of front-end transactions are now completed online.
This is a multi-faceted role in which you will plan and own our Enterprise Architecture, whist designing solutions to meet the incredible demand and ambitions of the services we support, ultimately enabling a better life for residents and businesses. You will own and run our technology design governance ensuring we deliver the corporate goals whilst delivering the best standards in a pragmatic way.
In today’s age cyber security has never been more important. You will work with our Security Architect to be the Council’s senior technology security expert and lead, enabling the council to deliver its services and transformation plans whilst safeguarding our systems and data.
