Business Manager - Housing Maintenance & Asset Management

As a small district council with a large land footprint we are responsible for over 5,500 council houses and associated community venues. 

The recently formed Housing, Health and Wellbeing Directorate are looking to complete their new management structure with individuals who are passionate about providing excellent services, forward thinking and commercially minded to take forward a high performing service to ensure our homes are fit for now and meet the demands of the future.

We’re looking for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to lead and develop our Asset team that encompasses our responsive repairs, our investment programme, contract management and compliance functions.  With substantial post qualification experience and extensive knowledge in Asset Management, Estates Management, Buildings and Facilities Management the successful candidate will be adept at leading a diverse team, working across business units to deliver great services to our tenants that are value for money, informed and shaped by tenant feedback and compliant with sector regulations.  You’ll be an excellent communicator who is able to work to strict deadlines and manage and motivate the team to work together and make a key contribution in the delivery of our business plans and priorities.
