Early Help Link Worker-Seaforth Family Wellbeing Centre-South Locality

Contract: Permanent

Working Pattern: Part Time

Hours: 19.5 hours per week.

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Sefton Council to appoint a 19.5hrs permanent Early Help Link Worker to support the integration of services into the Sefton localities model.

The successful candidate will form part of a multi-disciplinary team, responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and families, acting as a single point of contact and coordinating a holistic temporary offer of support.  

You will be Responsible for delivering, supporting and raising awareness of the school readiness agenda in order to improve outcomes for young children.

To deliver play activities, engaging early with children and families to promote positive experiences and outcomes across the locality delivery points, including working with parent and toddler groups, nurseries and schools as required.

To promote and raise awareness of locality working and its services to the wider community.

To support the delivery of Family Time contacts, across locality delivery points to ensure children are kept safe and their emotional wellbeing is safeguarded.

You are expected to have procedural and practical knowledge of Early Help services and experience in a specific area such as family intervention, domestic abuse or youth prevention services.

If successful, you will also be required to apply for an Enhanced Criminal Record Check from the Disclosure and Barring Service. Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council is committed to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults across the Borough.
