Client Adviser (Full-Time Post/Scale G – SCP 27-31/Fixed Term – Minimum of June 2021 with potential for extension)

Sefton@Work acts as the key labour market intermediary for Sefton Council and has been working alongside Sefton residents and employers since 2003, offering a range of free and confidential job-related services to residents aged 16 years and above, as well as free recruitment services for local employers.

Our main aim is to provide a joined-up approach to regeneration, employment & skills by ensuring that local people receive the benefits of local investment and job growth in the area. 

The post holder will work within a team of staff providing Information, Advice and Guidance services to adults who are not in employment.  The successful applicant will be fully qualified at a minimum of NVQ Level 4 in Advice and Guidance (or equivalent), with strong administration and communication skills.  Previous recent experience in a similar role essential as is the ability to achieve targets, deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment. You will need to have strong IT skills and the ability to manage a large caseload of individuals with varying needs to support them to overcome any barriers to progression.

Sefton@Work is accredited to the Matrix Standard for the provision of information, advice, and guidance, and maintains a Customer Service of Excellence award. Primarily an in-person face to face service the impact of the coronavirus pandemic has changed the way that our IAG service operates at present with us offering a blended approach consisting of telephone and virtual support appointments where the in-person offer is not available.

Closing Date:  Midnight Sunday 24th January 2021.  

Provisional Interview Date: w/c 1st February 2021. Interview will be in 2 stages; Stage 1 a Virtual Presentation and Stage 2 a formal Virtual Panel Interview.
