Team Leader - East Locality

Are you flexible, innovative and enjoy leading a well established, friendly and supportive team?

We are looking for these qualities in a Team Leader for our East Locality here at West Berkshire Council. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of the continued development of adult care in West Berkshire as we respond to the Care Act 2014 building on the strengths of people and their local communities.  

The team consists of Social Workers, Occupational Therapists and Social Care Practitioners and is supported by our Administration Team. The office is based at Turnham's Green in Calcot serving the western edge of Reading and surrounding communities. The office is easily accessible off of the M4 motorway and provides free car parking.

We are looking for a Team Leader with previous management experience and either an Occupational Therapy or Social Work qualification, with at least 5 years post-qualifying experience. You will be required to give specialist advice to the team and deputise for the Locality Manager where necessary.

This post is part time; working 22.5 hours 3 days per week.
