Cityclean is at a critical point and is making plans for the future of the service. We have secured funding to modernise our IT systems and you will be at the forefront of facilitating change to deliver improvements using digital solutions to ensure that the current and future needs of our refuse, recycling and street cleansing services are met.
Our service has an integral role in resident, business and visitor perceptions of Brighton & Hove and is fundamental to the success and attraction of our city. You will support the improvement of our IT systems to improve the customer experience of residents using our services and to increase staff satisfaction and morale by giving them the right tools to do their job.

About the role
We are looking for an experienced problem solver who is dynamic, change and process focussed. You’ll build good working relationships across Cityclean and the council. Joint working is essential for us to successfully deliver digital solutions to improve services for our workforce and residents across Brighton & Hove.
The role is varied and accommodates a person who is keen to understand and map how Cityclean services work now and can confidently recommend how they can improve by using technology. You’ll work for Cityclean and alongside a Project Manager and the Enterprise Architecture team where there are plenty of knowledge sharing and learning opportunities.
We want someone to join our team who can demonstrate experience in:
- Working as a Business Analyst in an organisation.
- Excellent knowledge of the change lifecycle and a robust understanding of business change.
- Ability and confidence to liaise and work closely with stakeholders, at all levels, and external suppliers.
- Business process improvement and identifying options for business usability and efficiency.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge and/or experience of the waste sector is desirable but not essential.
Fixed term for: 12 months
