Team Administrator and Senior Team Administrator - Bank

We are looking for experienced administrators to join our team of bank workers supporting our permanent administrators within the Children, Families & Learning Business Support Teams throughout Surrey.

Depending on your demonstrated level of experience you may be recruited to a Bank Team Administrator or Bank Senior Team Administrator role.

Bank Team Administrators are paid £11.50 per hour plus a 14% annual leave allowance and Bank Senior Team Administrators are paid £13.01 per hour plus 14% annual leave allowance, while working in locations across Surrey.

As a bank staff member, this is a zero hours contract and you will not be contracted to set hours but can be asked to cover spikes in demand, holidays, absence and reduced staff levels.

While remote working is place for a majority of staff, notional office bases are available at Woking, Guildford, Walton, Leatherhead and Redhill and there may be a requirement to attend offices as the need arises.

Children, Families and Learning provides a range of highly specialist services to vulnerable children and young people. Our admin teams support Social Care and Education staff and we are looking to increase our pool of bank staff in order to be more flexible as the demand for support changes in this exciting service. As a result of working in such a large service, we are looking for staff from a range of backgrounds which could include, but is not limited to, experience of PA/Secretarial work, education administration settings and telephone work.

You will organise multiagency meetings on behalf of the social care teams, liaise with professionals both within Social Care and with other agencies, keep track of information, update and maintain spreadsheets and databases, take meeting notes and subsequently distribute to involved parties, ensuring timescales are met and provide performance information.

You will be highly organised and willing to take responsibility, use initiative and be comfortable in setting your own priorities while meeting deadlines. You will make sure that everything is in place to guarantee that all runs smoothly for the processes and teams you support.

Excellent interpersonal skills are essential along with a high level of written and oral communication. You will have experience of working with highly confidential information in a customer focused environment and can work under pressure, to tight deadlines.

To be shortlisted for this role application must evidence:

  • A solid background in administration especially with experience of professional note taking
  • Experience of working in a busy office environment
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • A confident, organised approach and ability to implement a proactive approach to your work
  • Excellent IT skills and proficiency using Microsoft Office

Formal note taking/minuting experience would also be preferred, but is not essential.
