Job Title: Technical Officer

Salary Range: £27,741 - £30,451 pa
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent

Job Duties:

Join our team of dedicated officers whose role is to fulfil HCC’s duty to keep Public Rights of Way maintained & recorded, a network of 5000 footpaths, bridleways and byways, covering 3000 km.  You will be dealing with a range of tasks including technical support for these officers, dealing with queries, technical systems & Rights of Way procedures.  You will need to be familiar with computer systems and will be responsible for GIS digitising, data input & reporting, and web updates.

We are looking for someone with an ability to work well in a team. You will need:- ideally a GIS degree, HNC, HND, NVQ3 or similar qualification or relevant experience; basic knowledge of Rights of Way; good map skills; computer skills, including GIS; willingness to continually learn and update your skills and knowledge; communication skills to deal confidently with a range of users and officers; an eye for detail, experience of & understanding of the need to keep accurate records.
