Service Manager, Children’s Social Care

Rutland Children's Social Care is a great place to practice social work, we are committed to making a difference to peoples lives! We are looking for a Service Manager to join our management team.

About you……

You will need a professional social work qualification, and will be Social Work England registered, with experience of managing complex and challenging social work teams. We need a skilled manager who can support across all aspects of social work practice – you’ll need to be robust, and support innovative thinking; creative solutions and signs of safety methodology.

This is a brilliant opportunity for the right candidate to further their career in social care. This role will provide you with the opportunity to work across the full spectrum of social work practice, alongside considerable opportunities to get involved in a number of projects and influence others - locally, regionally and nationally. You will work across the full breadth of services, from our front door Referral & Assessment team through to our Fostering Adoption and Care Leavers team.

Why choose Rutland?

We are different. If you are looking for an opportunity to lead and develop a social care team who work together, where your skills and experience can make a significant difference to both your teams and to children and families, and where there really is work life balance, then Rutland is the place for you. We offer our social workers manageable caseloads, learning events, and regular reflective supervision. We encourage continually improving practice to ensure children’s interests are always protected and promoted.

To support you further, your Social Work England registration and DBS costs are covered by us. We can also provide financial relocation assistance, if you’re moving to join Rutland (subject to management approval).

The successful applicant for this post will be subject to an enhanced check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
