Private Sector Housing Adviser

In Northampton, we have expanded and restructured our Housing Advice and Options Service in order to increase our effectiveness in preventing homelessness, improving people’s housing conditions and reducing rough sleeping.

We are now looking to appoint a Private Sector Housing Adviser on a permanent basis who can provide professional, high quality tenancy sustainment casework, and advise landlords and tenants with expert, comprehensive advise on all aspects of letting, including tenancy agreements, deposit protection, disrepair, notices, possession proceedings, harassment, retaliatory eviction, unlawful eviction, HMO licensing and the support that is available to help tenants pay their rent.

To meet the requirements of this key role, you will have excellent communication skills, work well under pressure and enjoy being part of a team. You will also have a passion for multi-agency working, problem solving and preventing homelessness.

If you are excited by the prospect of working in a role in which you can make a real and lasting difference to people’s lives, we would be delighted to hear from you.
