This is an exciting opportunity to join Surrey County Council's Facilities Team, working across the 11 districts of Surrey and being the direct Service support. You will report to a Service Facilities Manager and your main role will be to ensure the day to day delivery of FM services on a wide range of sites within the Council portfolio.
You will proactively engage with end users to understand their issues and assist in resolving them. With a view to continuous improvement, you will be expected to set up and chair building user groups and carry out regular site inspections.
You will have a good grounding in health and safety and an understanding of building compliance, to allow you to conduct inspections and to identify and mitigate risks.
You will have oversight on hard FM and day to day operations, with the purpose of solving issues, through contractor engagement and by self-starter problem solving.
The Facilities Management Team sits within the Land and Property department in the Resources Directorate.
