Job Family: Supporting - CBG1
Salary: Level 2, £14,855 per annum pro rata
Hours: 37 hours per week - working to a Rota Basis to include early shifts 7.30-14.30 and late shifts 14.30 -21.30, weekdays and weekends.
Base Location: At one of our four care homes for older people, Abbotsbury in Biggleswade , Allison House in Sandy, Ferndale in Flitwick and Westlands in Leighton Buzzard. There are also opportunities at our residential home for individuals with learning disabilities at Linsell House in Dunstable. The great news is that these five homes are rated as either Good or Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission
Contract: 14 Months - Fixed Term Contract

As an Adult Care Worker, you will be supporting our customers to fulfil their potential and helping them to achieve maximum independence both within home and out in the community, whilst at the same time taking account of their emotional, psychological and physical needs, including having fun. You will develop skills in relation to assessment, support planning all are key foundations to a career in care.
As part of the Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship, you will:
- Undertake the Level 2 Diploma in Care.
- The Care Certificate
- Achieve Level 2 English and Maths prior to End Point Assessment.
- You will have access to a range of learning opportunities, including face to face learning, e-learning, tutorials and attend the corporate ‘My Apprenticeship’ days.
- You will be assigned an assessor who will support you throughout the apprenticeship, assess your work and practice.
Due to the nature of the job role you must be 18 years and over.
Ideally, you will hold Maths and English GCSEs at grades A* to C or 4 to 9 but not essential. Where these qualifications are not achieved our apprentices will undertake Functional Skills as part of the apprenticeship. You will be required to undertake an initial assessment as part of the interview if you do not already hold maths and English GCSE’s or equivalents.
