The Business Support Function provides efficient and effective business and administrative support across all areas of the Council. 
We are currently seeking to recruit to the following Business Support Assistant posts:
 
Post 1 - Children Centres x 2 full time receptionist posts fixed term until June 2021 (36 hours Monday to Friday located across Knowsley).

To act as first point of contact for visitors and families. You will play a key role in providing front of house services to deliver a high quality experience to local families through Children’s Centre’s, providing them with appropriate information and signposting to other services were necessary.

Key activities would be to update and maintain registers, make room bookings and dealing with telephone queries

The successful candidate should be self-motivated with  excellent communication and organisational skills and enjoy working as part of a wider team, able to work well under pressure and can adapt quickly and be flexible to meet the needs of the service.

Post 2 -  Full time fixed term until June 2021 providing administration support to a team of Children Social Care Workers (36 hours Monday – Friday)

Working as part of a small Business Support team all aspects of the role would to undertaken on a rotational basis.  You would be supporting and working closely with Social Workers who have contact with children who may be at risk of harm or neglect.

Key activities would be to support and note take at statutory and professional meetings held between third party agencies and at times family members.

You would be responsible of updating and maintaining children’s records and sharing sensitive and confidential information between agencies in addition to other general administration duties.

Attention to detail and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages as well as excellent keyboard skills is essential, also previous experience of notetaking is required.

The successful candidate should be self-motivated, enjoy working as part of a wider team, able to work well under pressure, and can adapt quickly and be flexible to meet the needs of the service.

Training on relevant systems will be provided.
