Digital Communications Officer

Digital Communications Officer c.£25,000

  •  Are you outraged at the number of families living in temporary accommodation in London?
  • Want to help us do something about it?

Capital Letters is funded by the government to find secure homes for homeless families on behalf of local councils in London.

As our new Digital Comunications Officer, you will need to use all your creativity and digital skills to persuade private landlords to rent their properties to families who need them most. It won’t be easy, but it will be rewarding.

Capital Letters is a young, non-profit company that's growing fast, with opportunities for hands-on learning and rapid career development. You can work from home or our central London office when it reopens – or a bit of both.

We need someone with experience of social media and content marketing to deliver effective campaigns. You will have a good understanding of content creation and managing digital channels, with an awareness of how digital fits into a communication strategy. Ideally, you have a background in property, local government, homelessness or related social issues, and can demonstrate you share our values.

You will have worked with a range of digital tools such as Hootsuite, Canva, InDesign or Mailchimp, as well as native apps for the major social platforms. You have an aptitude for learning new tools quickly. Your creative side will come through when creating video content and graphics, with experience of writing for the web a real advantage.

Please apply with your CV and cover letter detailing why you want to work with us and your relevant skills and experience, no later than 5pm on 31st January 2021
