Help us be the difference for children and young people
Wirral is a great place to work. We are a supportive and nurturing council, committed to developing and progressing our social care workforce so that they can achieve their ambition and thrive.
Wirral’s children and young people are at the heart of everything we do. We want to make Wirral great for children and their families and we want the right leaders and managers who can help #bethedifference
The role of the Team Manager is fundamentally important in driving quality practice, leading and implementing innovation and embedding the values and behaviours we expect in Wirral.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to strengthen the offer of support provided to young people and families, providing key leadership and management over a fast-paced and enthusiastic social care workforce.
You will lead a team of social care practitioners working on a range of cases including Child in Need, Child Protection and Pre-Proceedings providing sound oversight, reflective supervision and timely and appropriate support.
As a Team Manager you will also have access to a range of learning and development opportunities provided directly by our professional and dedicated Practice Improvement Team who are accessible and available to deliver practical guidance, learning and advice as and when you need it.
As an organisation, we don’t just offer a competitive salary but a host of additional benefits which mean that our employees thrive working here. You will become integrated into our collective family, involved in a programme of thought-provoking and relevant staff engagement events, led by visible leaders and managers. You will have access to a range of wellbeing support, tailored to your needs and responsive to the challenging and difficult circumstances you encounter.
