Fixed Term / Secondment – 12 months

As part of the wider WBC Covid-19 response, we are looking for an excellent project manager to support our Lateral Flow Testing Service set up in response to the evolving situation with Coronavirus in the UK.   The primary function of the service is to work collaboratively with customers, partners and other stakeholders to reduce the likelihood of outbreaks of COVID-19 through rapid testing (LFT).

We are looking for an individual who can work effectively in complex environments, supporting the Lateral Flow Test Manager as part of our COVID operations team to provide strong project management support.  Trained in PRINCE II and / or equivalent project management methodology you will be responsible for driving through the successful implementation of the project objectives through rigorous project reporting, governance and collaborative working to maximise the impact of our response and recovery across the borough.

Strong communication, planning and problem solving skills are essential, and an ability to work independently at pace is also an integral part of the role of a Project Manager as well as effective stakeholder engagement.

You will also need a good understanding of the work undertaken by the Council and the legislative and political environment it operates within.

If you are keen to make a difference and to help us deliver our COVID response across the borough then please apply here.

Closing Date: Sunday 28th February 2021, 11pm.
