Offender Supervisor

Elizabeth Fry Charity operates an Approved Premises for women in Reading. The Approved Premises accommodates 24 women on licence, bail and community sentences. We work closely with the partner agencies to manage risk, protect the public and support women to make positive changes to their lives.

Offender Supervisor

Average 27 hours per week.

Monday: 2-4:30pm, Wednesday: 8:30am – 9:00pm, Friday: 8:30am – 5:00pm, Saturday: 9:30am – 2:00pm.

£25,652.56 – £30,467.75 per annum (pro rata)

25 days annual leave per annum (pro rata), plus bank holidays

Are you interested in working with women offenders, many of whom have complex issues? Are you committed to teamwork? Are you able to demonstrate a flexible and creative approach to enable and assist offenders to live in the community leading law-abiding lives?

We are seeking a self-motivated and committed individual to support our residents, through 1:1 sessions and groupwork. Excellent communications skills, administrative skills and team work skills are a must. You will receive regular supervision and appropriate training for your particular needs.

Ideally you should have experience of working within the Criminal Justice System and understand the importance of leading by example, encouragement and enthusiasm when working with this client group.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the successful candidates will be subject to a check by the Disclosure and Barring Service.
