The Brokerage and Professional Support Team provide services to vulnerable adults who have a learning disability, older people and a physical disability. The team meet the long term eligible care and support needs of both customer and carers, to enable them to live a safe, fulfilling and independent life. It is a busy yet supportive team, which consists of Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Sensory Needs Services, Social Care Practitioners, Technology Enabled Care Team, Reviews and Transitions.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Manager to join our services, with an emphasis upon managing the long term Social Work Team. We are looking for a motivated, caring and creative applicant to drive professional practice, support high standards of service delivery and look at ways to enhance outcomes for customers through the strengths based approach.
The post holder will oversee the effective operational functioning of the team, providing supervision, coaching and support to staff to help them develop their skills and knowledge in line with changes in service requirements. They will manage the HR function within the team, including recruitment, retention and staff management issues ensuring robust performance information is recorded and monitored. The role will involve high level decision making, overseeing situations of risk and guiding others as to best practice.
The post holder will be a qualified Social Worker and registered with Social Work England, with extensive knowledge and experience of working in adult social care and in managing / supervising others. They will have a high level of knowledge and experience of working with all relevant legal frameworks. The ability to work in a busy, fast paced environment and to be able to plan and adapt to change is also essential.
