PE Coach

The Headteacher and Governors of Utkinton St. Paul’s CE Primary School are excited to have the opportunity to appoint someone who has the passion to develop and improve sport & PE provision across the school. The role is 10.5 hrs at Grade 7 (Higher Level Teaching Assistant).  The post will initially be temporary until 28th July, 2021, however, subject to funding, we would like to extend this position until Summer 2022 and beyond.

The role requires the candidate to plan, deliver and assess quality PE lessons, lead the development of playtime provision and the Daily Mile, engage pupils who are least active and/or require intervention.  After Covid-19 the role will evolve to include: leading after school clubs, supporting school teams in competitions and making links with local sports clubs.  This post is being made possible by the Sports Premium Funding and will commence Monday, 8th March 2021, or as soon as possible thereafter.

The role will be split between 4 afternoons:

Monday: 3 Hours

12.30pm - 1pm -30 mins - Lunchtime

1hr 15 mins - Year 3/4 PE

1hr 15 mins - Year 5/6 PE


Tuesday: 2 Hours 30 Minutes

12.30pm - 1pm - 30 mins - Lunchtime

1hr 15 mins - Year 1/2 PE

45 mins - Reception PE


Thursday: 2 Hours 30 Minutes

12.30pm - 1pm - 30 mins - Lunchtime

1hr 45 mins - OT/ Targeted Children/ Monitoring KS2 Class Teachers PE

15 mins - KS1 Daily Mile


Friday: 2 Hours 30 Minutes

12.30pm - 1pm - 30 mins - Lunchtime

1hr 45 mins - OT/ Targeted Children/ Monitoring KS1 Class Teachers PE

15 mins - KS2 Daily Mile
