Salary from £35,508 to £39,528 pa plus lease car or cash alternative of £3,050 pa
Ashford Borough Council is looking for an Environmental Health Officer/Practitioner to work in the Environmental Protection team. You will undertake and lead on a number of areas across Environmental Protection including; PPC inspections, contaminated land, air quality, nuisance investigations, planning consultations, drainage, and other general areas of environmental protection work. You will also work closely with other specialists working across the Community Safety & Wellbeing service.
We are looking for an officer who is flexible over the duties they are assigned, who is keen to develop and enjoys working and being part of a team.
You will be working in a highly respected Environmental Health Team and will have a great opportunity to develop your career. Self motivation, professionalism, commitment and enthusiasm are essential. An ability to remain calm under pressure is important as is a good sense of humour.
You will have a degree or diploma in Environmental Health and hold an EHRB certificate of registration.
