Salary for this position is £34,408 to £37,548

As an Asset Surveyor you will be dealing with a range of Council owned properties, offering services in valuation, general property management, rent reviews, lease renewals, service charges new lettings and acquisition surveying. You will be responsible for maintaining the Council’s asset management system and will also be involved in the review of the Council's property portfolio, dealing with general property enquiries and conduct negotiations on behalf of the Council with owners, occupiers, and professional advisers in respect of a wide range of property transactions, and report on such matters with recommendations.

You will have extensive knowledge of property management. You will be an excellent communicator, able to negotiate with tenants, council officers and external agencies. To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate good understanding of the property market and current property issues and you will be able to plan and prioritise work programmes effectively in the face of competing demands.
