Independent Reviewing Officer / Child Protection Manager

Knowsley Safeguarding and Quality Assurance Unit are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic manager to undertake the Independent Reviewing Officer/Child Protection Manager role for Knowsley. You must have a sound track record of delivering excellent services for children and families and be able to demonstrate that you are able to challenge appropriately where services do not meet children’s needs.

You will conduct Child Protection Conferences and Looked After Children Reviews in line with legislation, Policy and Procedure Ensure the maintenance of the child protection and looked after children management systems, in line with legislative requirements, Department for Education regulation/guidance and the service areas policies and procedures.

You must hold a Social Work Qualification and be Registered with Social Work England. Experience of managing and chairing complex Child Protection and Children in Care review. Previous management experience will be required.
