Estate Warden

We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive individual to act as the professional public face of RBC in the role of Estate Warden. This post is primarily based on our Garfield Road site in Addlestone, Surrey but there will be the requirement to attend other sites to cover absence and on-call duties.

The purpose of this role is to provide a visible, accessible and, customer focused estate-based caretaking service to tenants, ensuring that communal and shared areas are maintained to a high standard. The post holder will also be required to work collaboratively with other members of the estates team as appropriate.

You will need to complete relevant training as and when required, such as lone working, safeguarding, manual handling and working at height.

Out of Hours/On-Call

To work on a rota to attend the Garfield Rd site out of office hours as part of contracted overtime (Mon to Fri evening and Sat/Sun mornings and evening) to rotate communal bins, attend to the play area and address urgent issues within communal areas. If fully staffed the rota will operate on a three weekly cycle.

Contracted overtime

You will be required to participate in a rota which will involve working 9hrs 45mins contracted overtime every third week (Monday to Sunday and public holidays). During your active weeks on the rota you will also be required to be on out of hours stand-by and respond to emergency call-outs on the Garfield Road estate, you will be paid for this in addition to your basic salary.

Stand-by duty outside of office hours for 7 consecutive days in a to three week cycle (approx. 5pm to 8am daily) to attend to issues escalated by Safer Runnymede including attending to fire alarms, lift entrapments and emergency issues in communal areas. If fully staffed on-call will rotate on a three weekly cycle.
