Hours: 37 hours per week

We are looking for an experienced social worker to be based within the Recovery Team, which is an integrated mental health service with North Somerset Adult Care and Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership Trust (AWP).
You will be a qualified AMHP or a seasoned social worker with relevant experience who is willing to undertake AMHP training. You will be working primarily with adults of working age with severe and enduring mental illness and you will provide a strength-based social work perspective within a multi-disciplinary setting. You will be expected to undertake various duties, including Care Act (2014) assessments and reviews, best interest decision making, capacity assessments, safeguarding investigations, risk assessment and all care-coordination responsibilities. You will also provide therapeutic interventions such as Structured Clinical Management (full training provided).
Working closely with other professionals and agencies, you will ensure service users receive an excellent standard of social care within mental health services. You will work within key legislative frameworks such as the Care Act (2014), The Mental Health Act (1983) the Mental Capacity Act (2005) and the Care Planning Approach.
You will need to hold a relevant professional qualification to practice as a social worker and be registered with Social Work England.
This post is exempt under the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions) Order 1975 and is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
