Workforce for the Future is an £8m project funded by the European Social Fund, matched by the Combined Authority. It is a major plank in WECA’s current support for small and medium sized companies (SMEs) and is set up to provide advice, training and a wide range of other interventions to engage SMEs with skills provision. This support will enable SMEs to work out their future skills needs, help them upskill their workforce or recruit to fill need.
This major project is in its early stages, having established the core SME service and is now in the process of establishing a new funding round which will see projects funded which support particular sector or geographic SME challenges.
We now seek an experienced project manager for a 1 year fixed term maternity cover. You must have extensive project management experience gained by delivering complex, multi-partner projects and interpersonal and communication skills which are second to none. Good working knowledge of European Social Fund rules and criteria will be highly beneficial. You will join a small, highly supportive team with an enabling and can-do approach.
WECA is an equal opportunities employer, in line with the Equalities Act 2010, and invite applicants to contact us to identify any additional support they may need during the recruitment process.
