The Post

The Homes and Communities team are responsible for delivering a high quality housing management service for Brent Housing Management.

This post will be part of the Housing Officer team but will specifically focus on enforcement action.

A key area of work for the post holder will be supporting the large-scale regeneration programme in South Kilburn. This includes:

•Supporting South Kilburn Housing Team colleagues to tackle anti-social behaviour and squatting to facilitate the programme of the regeneration as well as the decommissioning process.

•Working closely with the key agencies to bring about successful results and resolutions for the neighbourhoods and community tackling high-level anti-social behaviour.

•Leading and updating the relevant stakeholders with regular updates on both anti-social behaviour cases and neighbourhood issues.

The officer will also need to support other patch housing officers with complex cases using all tools and powers available to reduce the impact of ASB within Brent Council Estates.

The Person

At a time of unprecedented change, we are looking for ambitious and innovative individuals with a passion for utilising theirs skills with use tool and powers of both housing and anti-social legislation to manage the day-to-day ASB issues.

The post holder will be required to work out in the community and carry out home visits.

You will need to demonstrate;

An excellent knowledge of both housing and anti-social behaviour legislation tool and techniques.

• An excellent knowledge of both housing and anti-social behaviour legislation tool and techniques.

• Confidence in your approach to tackling anti-social behaviour and establish a good rapport with residents

• A willingness to ‘get stuck in’ and work with all stakeholders to achieve a positive solution

• A passion for driving up standards within a neighbourhood by proactively addressing negative behaviours
