This role will be crucial in creating, developing and implementing campaigns in support of Surrey County Council’s strategic priorities for health and wellbeing. You will build effective partnerships with stakeholders to better deliver effective communications campaigns, in line with shared objectives.
The role sits within the council’s Communications Team and will specifically work on communications activity around Public Health and Wellbeing. You will support the Communications Account Manager and play a key role in campaign planning, social media planning and the production of high-quality cross-channel campaign material.
In this role you will support external and internal communications and also support the handling of both reactive and proactive media, with the wider communications team. Responsibilities may include deputising for line manager.
We’re looking for someone who is creative and tenacious, and will help us make a positive impact in this crucial area.
When shortlisting for this role, we will be looking for experience of working within local government, experience of working in public health or health communications and/or experience in a campaigning role.
