To support the transition of learners who are disadvantaged (eFSM) / vulnerable from primary school to Upton-by-Chester High School with a particular focus on learners whose attendance is vulnerable.
To work with the current pastoral staff in school to address the attendance of disadvantaged learners in Key Stage Three and Four. This will involve identifying barriers to attendance and working with learners and families to overcome these barriers. We are looking to build sustainable change in attendance patterns.
Working collaboratively with parents, students and staff from cluster primary schools to build upon positive relationships between primary and secondary schools and prepare students for a successful transition into secondary education.
The person we are looking for will have proven negotiation skills, and the ability to form and share ideas for encouraging change. You will be a positive, enthusiastic team player with excellent communication and motivational skills.
This is a temporary role in the first instance until July 2022 and will be reviewed to determine the impact and effectiveness.
