We are looking to recruit a Principle Performance Analyst to work within the Council’s Children’s Services Performance Team.

As Principle Performance Analyst you will support in leading the Service to deliver outstanding performance through the effective use and development of data and business intelligence. You will provide detailed analysis and present complex information to senior leadership groups across Children’s Services. You also will plan, develop, and lead the implementation of new reporting tools and mechanisms across Children’s Services. You will provide and maintain regular performance management information to all levels of management, and provide quality analysis and advice to enable the Service to understand performance and the reasons for poor performance. You will complete a number of statutory returns and provide OFSTED with any data they require during inspection.  You can find your greatness by working with people across the Service to inform improvements that ensure better outcomes for children, young people and families.

The successful candidate is required to have demonstrable experience of providing data analysis leading to service improvement as well as experience of producing reports and information from reporting software (preferably Business Objects).  Advanced Excel skills and experience of presenting complex information to non-technical audiences are essential for this role.  Due to the short-term nature of the role experience of a similar position in either Adults or Children’s Social Care is essential.

The role requires either a degree or equivalent qualification in a related subject e.g. Maths, or demonstrable equivalent experience. It is essential that the post holder has good report writing and communication skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, as well as being innovative and dedicated to improving service delivery with an understanding of how to make the best use of data and information to make informed decisions, seeks improvement opportunities and ways to resolve problems.
