Senior Data and Insight Manager

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Data and Insight Manager to join our team based in Waterloo. You will join us on a full time, 12-month fixed-term contract in return for a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum.

About the Senior Data and Insight Manager role:

The purpose of this role is to deliver the new Peabody Group Strategy and Priorities. There is a continual need for Peabody to modernise how we do things in order to meet the expectations of our customers on a daily basis. Modernisation is focused on both the customer and employee proposition with the primary aim of reducing the amount of effort to make it easier for customers to engage with Peabody and simpler for our people to deliver our services. Central to much of the improvement is enabling our people through technology improvements and in turn performance reporting and insight to improve how the operation is managed.

Responsibilities of our Senior Data and Insight Manager:

- Using Peabody and public data to assess performance of teams against requirements and aspirational targets

- Providing analysis for projections and prescriptive advice across the directorate

- Guiding managers and directors toward high-value analytics for sector-leading advances in customer service and employee success

- Collaborating with senior management and SMEs to ensure insights are accurate and relevant, and aligned to changing operational requirements

- Leading on the development, planning and implementation of analytics projects across the directorate

- Combining, visualising and analysing data from multiple sources and develop a holistic view of performance across processes, outputs, outcomes, and costs

- Transforming low-grade operational data into enriched and informative guidance

- Providing insightful commentary to non-technical colleagues as well as operational experts

- Feeding into data quality processes and our new data governance standard operating procedures

- Working with the central data team for the compilation of KPI performance reporting for leadership

- Initiating and supporting the governance and day-to-day administration of Tableau Server while increasingly moving to PowerBI products

- Managing the Insights team and coach and support other data analysts with development of visuals that support good quality control and decision making

- Collaborating with the business and IT on the future development of insight and reporting tools

- Undertaking regular networking and reviewing industry best practice to drive service and technical innovation

- Identifying and implementing innovative solutions to support service delivery, including technical innovation, business solutions and performance transformation

- Leading on fostering a stable climate across the Directorate, developing strong collaborative relationships that improve cross-functional communication which supports the Customer Services Directorate delivery of key strategic objectives

- Supporting the directorate in compliance with company data governance

What we’re looking for in our Senior Data and Insight Manager:

- Masters’ degree or equivalent experience

- Experience in housing, construction, repairs, or engineering related data

- Exceptional Tableau and PowerBI data visualisation skills

- Proficiency in Oracle SQL and T-SQL data extraction and transformation

- Knowledge of performance optimisation within SQL and Tableau

- Significant experience developing performance indicators

- Experience with schema development Knowledge of forecasting techniques and segmentation

Knowledge of business analysis techniques

- Passionate about harnessing the benefits of data

- A strong creative and conceptual thinker

- Thorough and inquisitive

- Good listening and observational skills and be able to decipher hidden user needs

- The ability to maintain positive and supportive relationships with all internal and external stakeholders

- The ability to manage multiple projects and conflicting priorities at any given time
